I have a knack for going shopping at the same time as tourists, particularly of the foreign variety. Some past Walmart experiences:
A gaggle of Chinese businessmen blocking the hot sauce aisle. One of them was holding up an industrial-sized jar of pickled hot beans (this is New Orleans, we love our spicy foods) and speaking excitedly (or so it sounded). Another of the men, obviously not sharing the same excitement at large jars of spicy things, picked up the smallest container, put it in the cart and moved on. He was definitely the boss..
A large group of college-aged Polish kids. Their cart was filled with all manner of canned fish, sour cream, potatoes and sausage. I smiled at the way they were obviously seeking foods that seemed somewhat familiar, and I sympathized for having done the same when I lived in Russia. (Or perhaps they were asked to prepare a Polish-style meal for a small army?)
A young Spanish couple taking pictures of everything on their phones.
Three French girls paralyzed by the peanut butter aisle. (I can relate.. so many choices and they all look the same!) They were trying to read the labels and were looking quite put out by the whole experience. But then, French people always look put out.
